Wushu - a popular term synonymous with Chinese martial arts - revolves around Taolu (bare-handed freeform fighting) or Sanshou (weapons form) and is judged by specific criteria for points to decide a winner. This month, Macau hosts the 7th Asian Wushu Championships, which is certain to be a magnet for competitors, supporters and spectators from all over the region.
Taolu and Sanshou exponents will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in the disciplines of Taijiquan, Taijijian, Nanquan, Changquan, Daoshu, Gunshu, Qiangshu, Nangun and Nandao.
