Hello All,

I'm moving to Macau in August. Three needs or questions:

1.) What and where are good gyms in Macau?

Looking for gym with good selection of new, Western quality equipment for daily work-out. Lap pool a plus.

2.) Free wireless internet in cafe?

I like to hang at cafes with windows and views of street or city while using fast wifi. Shanghai, Beijing, and even HK offer this. Is it available in Macau? If so, where? Any websites tracking open wifi locations?

Note: I also read about 3G card for home and offsite and considering this. Does it work well? Cost?

3.) Outdoor sports

Is there a beach volleyball court anywhere? What about basketball court and pick-up games?

Summary: I will also be looking for apartment (shared or inexpensive as in HK one week per month). If someone can recommend area, and better yet ~ apt, where I can walk to above described type of gym and neighboring cafes with wifi then MUCH appreciated!!!

Best,
David

Hi David, Nova City

Hi David,
Nova City apartments has a nice gym and club house (apparently!- they wouldn't let us in to see it!) but they are quite expensive to rent.
If you could find someone who rents a room there, that would be perfect!

Hi David, I am new to Macau

Hi David,
I am new to Macau too but am very lucky I have a local friend who knows macau and surrounding areas in the back of his hands.

Answers to your inquires (sort of) my friend Jack could answer them better than I.

1) good gym - Landmark -top notch equipments by any world standard (membership required).
2)Nova City rents - from MOP$10,000- up has fitness center. if you want to take a look that can be arranged.

3) outdoor sports - Jack my friend who is also realtor will know.

4) Might be able to find you roommate but not sure and there are apt. for less but of course not like nova city- some in the $5000 range.

5) there are short term service apt. -
