DOGS ..

Bringing a dog from HK is much easier than from Macau to HK. Just keep in mind that if you bring your pet you just need the basics (vaccines, some paperwork, etc), but when you want to bring him back to HK it will have to go through a minimum of 4 months quarantine unless the HK Government changes the policy towards Macau in the meantime. We´re delaying our move to HK because of that and hoping HK finishes the process in order to include Macau as a Group I country (no quarantine needed).

Hi there,
there is a at least 2 dogs/cats rescue shelter places in Macau one is Anima and the other is AAPAm or something like that, anyway this people work hard to care for macau's abandoned animals. Just this morning I been to Anima and took one little basset hound for a walk, sweet creature I wish I could take him home, but I got 4 dogs n 1 bird, I have to be strong and leave the little beauty there.

Pls if you want a dog or cat go to Anima they got over a 100 animals there, those animals need home if you need more info. pls Call 66176007 the adoption coordinator even if you are not interested in adopting just come for a visit, or if you like work as a volunteer you are welcome, you can experience by yourself the life of those animals and the people who care for them. It is not perfect place but it is much better than it used to be.

HK discriminate Macau in matters related to Quarantine, I know I am HK resident can't return to HK because the law there says that my pets have to stay in quarantine for 4 months at around HKD10,000 p/month plus, my lorykeet was born and raised in HK there is no way I can bring him back, I have tried everything to no avail, he is an endangered specie rescued as a chick from bird street in Shanghai street, monk kok, the authorities there are aware of his status but there is no way I can put him through so much suffering, he is 15 years old, he would die before I can collect him.
