How do you find maids in Macau to hire live in? Is thier a website for the ones who are already employeed in Macau? How long is the employment contracts for? And how long to process? Any problems people have found with thier maids? Training, honesty other?

I used to worked with one of

I used to worked with one of the Domestic Employment Agency here in Macau after 3 days working with them i quit due to their system. they are really good in selling the maid to the employers, they have to lie just to sell them, they only want money from the employer and the maid.
ASiaheadhunter, if you knew somebody else(officemates etc.) who has a maid as them if they can recommend one for you.

Anyway, the employment contract is 2 years, processing time takes more than 3 months till she get her blue card,if you are holding a blue card then you need a letter from your company (you can get a copy of that letter from the labour department and ask your company to type it for you because its all in chinese)

Training honesty? what i had seen in that agency, can say that i cant recommend any of the agency here in macau.

Are you personally looking

Are you personally looking for a live in maid, or is this just a general question? If you are looking for a trustworthy and hardworking live in househelper I can recommend you our former Philippino nanny/househelper who is now in Macao looking for a job. Please let me know if you need more information on her and her contact details. Thanks.

Asiaheadhunter - what about bringing a maid from Hong Kong?? There is a website called Amahnet.com that has hundreds of maids looking for employers. Can you find one thier and bring her to Macau to work? Also I am a Hong Kong ID holder perm resident and I work in Zhuhai so I don't have a work permant for Macau - can I hire a maid if I am not working for a company in Macau?

The salary in HK for DH is

The salary in HK for DH is far different.(HK-$3,460 and Macau-MOP2500) so i don't think those DH in HK really wants to come and work here in macau not unless you give them same salary like in HK.

If you are not holding a blue card or macau ID no chance for you to sponsor a maid but there's a lot of FDH here in macau looking for a part time job if you can't sponsor one.
