Description

The Pahiyas Festival is a time of joyous merriment for the people of Quezon - and you'll never walk away hungry from this Filipino event. Just watch the calories!

Quezon folk decorate their homes with the choicest produce, stringing fruits and vegetables together and making the "kiping" (leaf-shaped wafers of rice like Spanish tacos) to enliven halls and walls, while the "arangya" (chandeliers) light up the town on fiesta night itself. This annual colourful occasion brings the Filipino community of Macau together against the background of a live band and cultural performances, which visitors are welcome to enjoy, complete with the special delicacies of this community.
