Cultural Club is housed in Tak Seng On, an old pawnshop recognixed by the Macao Government as historic building with precious artistic value. The building's design integrates Chinese and western styles, featuring finely carved wooden door panels and a traditional Guangdong-style "cage" artrium, as well as European iron railings that are shaped like curled grassed, and traditional Portuguese-stly blinds and arched doorway. It even has the kind of delicate, rustic and elegant spiral staircase seldom seen in surviving historic building. All of these deserve our deep appreciation.
Also housed in the same building, there are many interesting places for you to discover: * Pastry Gallery - Macau specialties such as cookies and other souvenirs on sale (ground floor) * Arts Plaza - postcards, souvenirs, traditional fine arts, clothing and accessories on sale (first floor) * Jin Yong Library - a library and meeting area where fans of the famous novelist Jin Yong can share their ideas (first floor) * Water Teahouse - a comfortable relaxing place for visitors (second floor) * Bamboo Hut - "bamboo" got the name as "the gentleman of the plant kingdom". This hut has Chinese-style and Japanese-style side room, perfect places for gatherings of friends, as well as informal business meetings.
